A little bit about our owner
Brad has been passionate about motorcycles since he was a little boy and first rode on the back of a moped. That moment sparked something in him and led him to ask his dad, a motor mechanic, to fix up his great uncle’s derelict moped that had been sitting in the garage. Once repaired, it became Brad’s first bike.
From there, Brad had a collection of bikes he salvaged from the rubbish tip or bought from friends at school. His first roadworthy bike was a Honda MT50, which he purchased at 16 and got his licence on. He rode it for about nine months before realising he needed more power — and that’s where his journey began.
Brad was always tinkering with bikes and cars. After travelling around the world and spending a few years at university, he began a motor mechanical apprenticeship and qualified in 1996. He then started his own business, which he ran until he emigrated to Australia in 2004.
In Australia, Brad worked as a mechanic for his first year before moving into the exhaust trade as a rep, where he stayed for 19 years. Over time, he found himself missing hands-on work and wondered whether he could combine his passion for motorcycles with his mechanical skills.
Brad had been a customer at Pablo’s for a few years, and through conversations with Rick, the previous owner, he learned the business was for sale. Over the next year or so, each time Brad came in for tyres, Rick confirmed it was still on the market. Brad began working with Rick in February 2025 and completed his due diligence before Rick left the business in May 2025.
The rest, as they say, is history.
Brad loves what he does at Pablo’s and enjoys meeting the different people who come through the shop.
